What a wonderful family trip to the D.R. Spring break offered the infrequent opportunity to get the whole family together. We stayed at our friend Cliff York’s home “Casa Blanca” on Cofresi beach. Painted some; rested some; and got inspiration for a long time to come.

Art of the Carolinas with David Dunlap

Hyde Park Art Show

Wash.Park.Art.com Opening
Patty Crotty and I at the Washington Park Art Gallery opening. It is wonderful how the park has been renovated, and is now the center of multiple art events: music, dance, and painting. Life is good in Cincinnati.

Essex Spring Open House
Even though it is difficult to clean-up my working studio, it is worth it when new and long-time friends and collectors come to visit. This time the art walk coincided with the Arts Sampler week-end; so it was even more fun.
Woman’s Club Demo
Had a fun day doing an instructional demo for Cincinnati Woman’s Club. They are lovely hosts, and most appreciative. Here is a comment from one of their emails: “If you’ve read Carolyn Scheve’s recent emails, she has one that reminds us that Trish Weeks will be our next CWC Visiting Painting Instructor. Enthusiasm like Carolyn’s bears repeating: Trish Weeks will be doing a demo this Tuesday even though she has a sprained ankle—she says she will be fine! She uses thick oils and paints with her palette knife resulting in bold strokes of vibrant and fabulous colors depicting lush landscapes, etc. I cannot wait to watch and listen and I hope you will be there to experience Trish’s talent and charisma!“
